When a merging of materials, far from creating a homogenous whole, releases the imagination. Tashi’s engraving takes the yellow gold-finished receiver plate from one age into the next, exploding traditional paradigms. Just like L’Épée rewrites the code for a cocking and loading mechanism. And for a sense of balance but also of power, the natural choice of walnut.

Exploring the unknown behind the known

The intention was never to simply attach a clock to a gun. L'Épée ingeniously redesigned the iconic Winchester's loading and cocking mechanism to wind the timekeeping caliber. They also reimagined the barrel system for time indication and setting. In the original rifle, the magazine held up to 15 rounds without reloading. It is only fitting that the reimagined Winchester clock requires 15 lever actions to fully wind the mechanism, providing a power reserve of approximately 7 days.
